The acting career of Reese Witherspoon began to take off following her enrollment at Stanford University. After her first few performances, she was cast in films like Pleasantville and Election. Her portrayal of Elle Woods on the blockbuster Legally Blonde marked a pivotal moment in her career. Witherspoon was honored with one Academy Award, in 2005 in her role as Walk the Line. Witherspoon, was born Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon in New Orleans Louisiana on March 22nd the 22nd of March, 1976. Her parents are medical doctor and a registered nurse. She grew in Nashville, Tennessee as the first student at her school as well as Harpeth Hall. In the year 1991, Witherspoon responded to a newspaper advertisement for extras on a whim. The actress was subsequently the lead in her first movie The Man in the Moon (1991) when she was just 14 years old. Her first year out of high school, Witherspoon was contemplating quitting acting completely to follow her parents into the medical profession. To dedicate more time to acting, she decided to postpone her studies at college for one time. After that, while she attended Stanford University, she took one class in English literature prior to deciding to return to her job. In 2003, she made her debut as a feature film as a lead actress in The Invisible Man. In the following years, she has appeared on various TV programs like House of Lies Whitney or Better Call Saul. In addition, she has appeared in films such as The Dictator and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. Alongside her acting work her acting career, Ms. Williams is also a talented painter, who has shown her works in various exhibitions.
