Ally Sheedy

Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy, born 13 June 1962 in the US, is an actress. In 1983, after her first film Bad Boys starring as a Brat Pack member in WarGames 1982 and The Breakfast Club '85 she was well-known as a part of this group. Sheedy received an Independent Spirit Award as Best Female Lead in her character in Lisa Cholodenko's High Art (1998). Ally Sheedy has been an American writer and actor for over twenty years. In the early 80s, she began her career as a film actress with the thriller film Bad Boys. She was very well-received in this film. Rick Rosenthal's film also starred Sean Penn and Esai Morales Clancy Brown & Alan Ruck. The film's first big success was the catalyst for her to make an appearance in The Breakfast Club, a 1985 comedy-drama. The film of John Hughes, The Breakfast Club is regarded as being among the high school cinema's best films. Although the film's budget was just $1 million, it made more than $50 million in profits. The actress also appeared on various television programs, such as CBS Schoolbreak. This was her debut on television. The show was for teenagers that started airing from April 1980. Chicago Story Big City Samuels and the Kid and Hill Street Blues were some other TV shows she appeared in. Recent appearances by Sheedy includes Little Sister as well as X-Men Apocalypse, a movie about a hero where she is a character. Sheedy has received numerous awards for her exceptional performances, among them the MTV Movie Award Silver Bucket of Excellence Award.
