Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American singer-dancer and actress. One of her first Broadway productions included Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. In You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in the Play. Annaleigh, Tony Award-winning actress and director has spent most of her professional career working alongside prominent directors and actors on stage and screen. Ashford is scheduled to be starring opposite Kumail Nanjiani on the Hulu limited series Welcome to Chippendales from creator Robert Siegel premiering on November 22. Ashford currently works on Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust opposite Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch-Bachrach. The film will be available through Disney's DTC platforms and will be available as a Hulu Original. In March of 2023 Ashford will make a return appearance on Broadway and play alongside Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail (director) and Jeffrey Seller (producer), the same team who produced Hamilton directed the musical. Ashford's latest part was that of Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. The show is based on the nationwide scandal that involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, as well as Linda Tripp. She was the star of two seasons of CBS Comedy B Positive. It was developed by Marco Pennette and Chuck Lorre the series also starred legendary actor Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen.No no stranger to Broadway Ashford has won Tony Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her performance as Essie as Essie in You Can't Take It with You.
